What type of photo should I submit with my visa documents?

Technically there's no specific policy for the type of photo you submit with your visa docs, but keep in mind that your future employer will be the first person to see this picture. For this reason alone we strongly recommend cleaning up and dressing nicely when you get your passport photos taken. We’re not talking about the actual photo in your passport — we mean the additional photos that you have to submit with your visa documents throughout the visa process.

Unfortunately, we’ve seen some schools drop interview offers upon seeing visa document photos. While this may seem superficial and unfair, it kind of makes sense. Think about it — your potential employer has never met you face-to-face. The only thing they have to go off of is the pictures you submit to them, more specifically, the picture you send with your resume/cover letter and the picture you include in your packet of visa documents. For the best results, put on a nice shirt and look sharp before you get your additional passport photos taken!
